Professional booby trappers wake up early.

Today too, they’re laying booby traps and waiting with the scope in order to blast the readers.

I tied my hair into a ponytail on top of my head and put on fake glasses.

Even with just this, the impression I gave off changed a lot.

As for my clothing, I changed out of my usual white dress into a white tunic and black slacks, then proceeded to put on the crimson mantle like before.

But unlike before, I didn’t cover my whole body with it and just wore it casually.

Lastly, Dina hid my wings by wrapping a bandage around them.

Mysteriously, my wings could no longer be seen, to the point where people would not even realise that I was a flugel.

The bandage was a camouflage item that Megrez had synthesised and prepared for me.

Apparently, it was enchanted with [Stealth] magic, and any part that was wrapped in it would blend into the surroundings and become invisible, unable to be seen.

He gifted it to me together with the clothing after saying, “It’s probably uncomfortable to move around like that,” and I really appreciated it.

“Hmm, how is it Megrez? Does it suit me?”

“Yeah, whatever you wear suits you well.”

Thanks to Megrez, I was unexpectedly freed from my self-bondage play.

No, honestly, I wasn’t expecting him to help out this much.

From his point of view, I was his sworn enemy from the past who had suddenly resurrected, and it would be normal for him to act with hostility.

But instead, he was giving me so much support that, even though I was overly grateful for it, I was starting to suspect whether it was a trap or not.

“Hey, Ruphas.”

“Hmm?”

“You… are you guys not spiteful of us? At that time, without a doubt, you guys were in such an ideal place that you could have created a utopia at any moment. The ideal world you were aiming for was right around the corner. And the ones who ruined all of that are us who betrayed you… you, do you not detest us for that?”

I pondered on what Megrez had just said for a bit.

I didn’t really feel hateful or anything of that sort, and there really wasn’t any reason for me to feel that way.

Because to me, that fight was nothing more than a game, and not something that I experienced firsthand.

That’s why, instead of answering the question, I decided to give him a response in my own way.

“If my own subjects rebel against me, it simply means that I wasn’t suited to being a king. If you guys decided that you were dissatisfied with me, it also simply meant that I wasn’t capable enough as a ruler and a vassal for you all. There is not a single reason for me to be hateful of you guys.”

I continued checking my own appearance in the mirror by taking various poses from a different angle.

Yep, this looks pretty good.

It was easy to move in, and more than anything, it did not look not haughty.

Due to the bombshell appearance of my character, it was inevitable that I would still stand out, but it was 10 times better than being a suspicious person covered in a bright red mantle.

Well, it’s a little weird, saying this about myself, but… to be able to look this good without makeup is quite unfair… I guess this is the level you’d see from photos of idols after being enhanced by Photoshop.

“That’s why you should stop blaming yourself. Honestly, it’s too painful to look at.”

Ruphas was the invader, and he was the hero that defeated her.

That was all there was to it 200 years ago, and it was fine that way.

It was always the winner that created the age.[1]

As such, the moment I lost, I no longer had the qualification to say anything, nor do I feel like saying anything.

Therefore, if the winning side kept suffering, it felt really unsettling.

“To the citizens of this country, you’re a hero. Be dignified. Just like 200 years ago.”

“I’ll painfully accept your advice. …… Thank you.”

The warmth of a small smile returned to his face.

I was sure that, knowing his strict personality, he would continue to ponder, but I think it should at least be better than before.

If anything, we should be the one apologising. Especially the trap sheep that was hiding in the corner.

But Aries stubbornly said, “I don’t want to apologise to someone who betrayed my master”, and has not said a single apology to Megrez yet.

“Now then, it’s about time for us to leave.

Levia, whom Aries weakened, should be fine with that.”

“I appreciate it. As I am now, I would not have been able to restore its lost max HP.”

Aries’s attack had decreased Levia’s maximum HP, but given water; the material which constituted its body, restoration was possible.

That being said, even if it was possible for Megrez to restore Levia, it was impossible for him to fully restore it to its previous state. That was the portion that I helped out with.

But being able to fully recover with just water is quite convenient, isn’t it?

Anyways, with regard to Levia, there should be no problem with this.

“Ruphas.”

“Hm?”

“… Have a pleasant journey.”

“That goes without saying.”

Hearing Megrez’s encouragement, I unintentionally smiled.

I then waved my hand, leaving Megrez’s house behind.

I proceeded straight, leaving the Noble District and walking into the Commercial district.

Along the way, I spotted Gants’s signature bald head and decided to take a short detour to say goodbye.

“Gants!”

“Nnn? O, oh! What a beauty!? M, Miss, do you need anything from me?”

“Hey, hey, what’s with that way of speech after all this time? Look, it’s me. It’s Ru – Saphur. Wasn’t I under your care when I came to this city?”

“….Eh? Eh, eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh!?”

Gants was lost for words when I said that, then suddenly exclaimed in surprise.

Oh yeah, I hadn’t shown my face to Gants yet.

I guess I screwed up a little there, I thought, but since we were leaving Svalinn anyway, it didn’t really matter too much.

“Sa, when you say Saphur, you mean that person with the suspicious red mantle!? You were actually this much of a beauty!?”

“Hahaha, don’t praise me, just don’t. I just thought I’d come and say goodbye because we decided to leave this country.”

“We are indebted to you, Gants-san. We’ll be resuming our journey.”

I laughed at the surprised Gants, while Dina said her parting words.

Aries is…. Possibly feeling responsible, he was hiding behind my back and didn’t even show his face.

He’s completely acting like a small animal, this guy.

“O, oh, I see. You’re going already. Both of you… and that cute-looking small girl, all of you, take care, okay?”

“He is a guy, you know.”

“For real!?”

“Hahaha. Well then, Gants.

If fate brings us together, let’s meet again.”

“A, Ah… Saphur…. Never mind, it’s nothing. Be well! Take care!”

After saying farewell to Gants, we left Svalinn.

Gants looked like he wanted to ask me something at the end, but he didn’t end up asking anything.

He had most likely wanted to ask about me blowing Aries away, but taking into consideration the possible complexity behind the situation, had decided not to.

Either that or, perhaps he had an inkling of my true identity.

Whichever it was, he was a good guy. I hope he lives a long life.

“So, Dina. You said the destination is approximately 500km from here, but what do you plan to do? I don’t mind walking there.”

“Yes, I have a proposal! How about making a golem that can transport us?”

“What, you don’t want to walk?”

“Of course not! It’s tiring!”

Once we left Svalinn, it was a never-ending grassland.

There seemed to be something resembling a road established, but walking on that the whole time might be quite depressing.

Though, the current I would never tire from something like walking, so the experience on its own might have been something I could enjoy.

And above all else, to journey this distance by foot, wasn’t there some charm to it?

But Dina didn’t like that idea, so she requested for me to make a golem.

Since coming to this world, I’ve learnt that golems aren’t as mindless as they were back in the game. Thus, to a certain degree, they were more flexible.

For example, in the game, it would arbitrarily attack enemies in a mindless way, but in this world, something like Levia could properly follow Megrez’s directions and act quite intelligently.

Furthermore, there was no restriction to the shape it could take, which meant that if I shaped it to be like a car, it could act as a vehicle that could automatically drive itself.

So if it was a question of whether Dina’s request was possible or not, the answer was it was easily possible.

“Hmm, I guess I can try making it.”

“While you’re at it, you might as well include some beds and a bath so that we don’t have to sleep outdoors.”

Dina just casually made a request for an upgrade.

I was thinking about making a convertible car on a whim, but at this rate, it’ll become a camping car.

When I glanced at Aries, although he was usually unassertive, this time he was staring at me with great anticipation.

I suppose he was curious as to what I was going to make.

“Well, I’ll try…”

Firstly, in regard to the iron used to make the majority of the car, I could just use minerals from the rocks lying in the vicinity as material.

As for the furniture, I could think about that later on.

For the bath, I would build a separate room. It should be fine if I created a cauldron bath later.

Or rather, baths in this world were normally cauldron baths.

There was no way a convenient contemporary bath could exist, and I didn’t know about the specifics enough to be able to recreate it.

As for the beds… I could create the framework using those trees over there, but the problem was the mattress and the bed cover to lay on top of it.

For those alone, I couldn’t use the trees and rocks in the environment, nor the concrete or iron developed from them.

If only there were cotton or feathers, it’d be different, but….

“…. Oh.”

“? What’s wrong, Ruphas-sama? Is there something on my face…?”

There’s cotton nearby.

OK, I’ll ask Aries to turn into a sheep later on so I can shave some wool from him.

Although you could not say there were sufficient materials, there were at least the minimum required amount.

With this, we could make something decent.

“[Transmutation!]”

Firstly, I transmuted the minerals in the rocks into iron.

Both the extraction of materials and the act of refining them into a different material were part of the basic abilities of an alchemist.

However, the level of the profession class determined what you could transmute. In the initial stages, sometimes, you could not transmute one material to another.

Someone like Mizar, who had a profession level of 200, could grab some rocks and casually transmute them into a legendary tier material, so it could be quite terrifying.

Since I stopped levelling it at 100, I couldn’t go that far.

I then re-transmuted the iron into a camping car.

That being said, I wasn’t particularly familiar with the specifics of a car, therefore, it was really just in the shape of a car.

The movement was left entirely to the golem, so there wasn’t even a driver’s seat.

Next, I transmuted glass using the sand in the surroundings, attaching it to the car to act as windows.

I made several rooms inside and installed a big pot in one of them to serve as a cauldron bath.

While I was at it, I decided to make a kitchen. I couldn’t make something fancy like an electric stove though.

It was antiquated, a kitchen that was fitting of how advanced this world’s civilization was.

“Next is…. Aries, turn back into a sheep for a bit.”

“Eh?”

“I’m going to use your wool.”

If you considered the size of Aries in his sheep form, it was really a small amount. Furthermore, it would naturally grow back.

I jumped on top of Aries when he turned back to his sheep form after being told to do so, then proceeded to cut off some wool with a small dagger before using it as material for a futon.[2]

By this world’s standards, it’d be a horrifyingly luxurious and fluffy bed.

While I was at it, I built a wooden chair and placed a cushion made out of Aries’s wool on it.

“Yosh, I guess this is enough for now.”

There were many things that were inadequate, but we could buy those later in some city.

All in all, as long as it ran, it was fine.

Hey, since it’s a good time, let’s check out its stats.

Ah, I need to give it a name first.

Like Gun_am or Ge_ter, something like that.

Now then, what should I name this guy?

I don’t want it to be too fancy, but it also can’t be something that’s easily forgotten….

… What a hassle. Let’s go with Tanaka.

[Tanaka]

Level: 200

Species: Artificial Being

HP: 12 000

SP: 0

STR (Strength/Attack Power): 555

DEX (Dexterity): 120

VIT (Vitality): 658

INT (Intelligence): 9

AGI (Agility/Speed): 1020

MND (Mindpower): 75

LUK (Luck): 100

Apparently, the shape of the golem determined the ups and downs of its status.

This wasn’t a possible concept back in the game.

Since I made it into the shape of a car, the speed stat had somehow inflated a lot.

That being said, because this AGI referred to [Agility], which decided its speed and agility in the battle and not the speed of its actual movement, this high numerical value didn’t mean it would travel fast.

Well, even with that, if this car and I had a race, I was confident I would win.

“Wow, as expected of Ruphas-sama. This’ll be an easy trip.”

What a self-interested person. Dina started to praise me notwithstanding her earlier complaints.

Aries also nodded, but since his was sincere and honest praise, I would accept it.

But you need to hurry up and transform back. At that size, just nodding creates an amazing gust of wind.

Entering the golem, I ordered the camping car to [Head towards the north].

Soon after, as if it had understood what I had said, the car started moving.

With this, we should be able to proceed to our destination considerably comfortably.

“Ah, that’s right. I’ll go procure the necessary furniture. I’m going to teleport around a bit and buy them, so please wait for a little bit.”

Saying that, Dina didn’t even wait for my response and just vanished.

It was convenient as usual, that [Teleportation] magic. I was really envious.

Or rather, it’s a bit late to say it now, but I should have just flown when we were heading to Svalinn since Dina could just teleport.

Because even if I left Dina behind, she could just come teleporting back.

Anyways, it’s too late now. Either way, we now had Aries so we couldn’t even do that anymore.

What a hassle, why do I always notice things only afterwards, when it’s too late?

I really am out of it…..

Well, whatever.

For now, I thought I would fiddle with the interior a bit.

*

“Haa…. Haaa….!”

At the foot of the Gale Volcano.

There, one young boy was dragging his injured body, crawling whilst leaving a trail of blood behind him.

Just 1 hit – as if she was repelling an annoying bug, he had received that one attack only.

But even so, he couldn’t even stand up.

Crawling like an insect in a sorry state, it was as if he was desperately running away from an opponent who had long left the scene.

“Ru, Ruphas Mafahl is…. The one and the only devil that person is scared of came back…. Ahh, this is a nightmare…. Something like this, something like this can’t….”

It was fortunate that he was level 300.

Because Ruphas had paid no heed to him, and didn’t take him seriously, that was the only possible explanation as to the reason he had been able to escape with his life.

She hadn’t even considered his existence. Indeed, it was the greatest humiliation.

Nevertheless, without a doubt, it was now his greatest fortune. At this moment, because of that, he was still alive.

Although, that fortune didn’t last long.

“ – Oh my. You’re still alive?”

He heard a chillingly cold voice that was clearly looking down upon him.

Mars desperately struggled to turn his unresponsive body towards the direction of the voice. Standing there was one person — a blue-haired young girl.

Her face could not be seen due to the backlight, but for some reason, her plain white clothes seemed almost luxurious.

Was this what you would call “grace”?

Or perhaps it should be called “presence”.

In any case, this girl possessed something mysterious along those lines.

But that face – no, the outline of the mouth was distorted as if it was drawing a half-crescent with a smile full of joy.

“That’s  no good you know. An actor who has completed their role must properly exit the stage. A piece who has already been defeated can’t reappear later and start taking extra measures. No one wants something like that. Once you’ve finished your role, you leave. That’s the rule of the game.”

“Y, You’re….! What are you exactly….”

The girl laughed cutely at the poor clown who had finished playing his role.

She had no intention of answering the young boy’s question.

“Final words before death”, there were such concepts in the world. However, she was not going to bother with giving him something respectful like that.

Just promptly. Beautifully.

His death was simply the erasure of a mistake, like weeding some grass.

The girl only had this cruel mentality.

“Goodbye, Mars. You pitiful, pitiful NPC.”

– a few seconds later. The boy was no longer there.

He had disappeared without a trace, as if he had never existed in the first place. Not even a single strand of hair remained.

And the girl who had made such a thing happen was also nowhere to be seen.

Impression A: “If you think in terms of internet games (MMO), Megrez is like begging a retiring high-tier player for their things.”

Megrez: “!?”

Impression B “Yeah, he’s really shameless.”

Megrez “!!?”

Impression C: “I can’t believe that Megrez was so proud of using the excuse that the humanoids needed it in order to promote raiding the tomb of a deceased.”

Megrez “…………………….”

Megrez “(*´Д`)More, please…. Abuse me more, despise me more, please……. Only the stabbing, sharp contempt and disdain of the Supreme Ruler’s supporters let me feel the sin I’ve committed and dim my conscience… Haha…”

Ruphas “… Urrggh…”

( ´∀`)Good evening everyone. I’m M87 Lightline (M87光線).

For now, Aries’s Arc comes to a finish here. Next, we’re entering Libra’s Arc.

But because half of the stock has been used up, the updates from now on will slow down. I’m thinking about 2 releases per week.

If you don’t mind this slow release, please continue to support me.

Well then, let’s meet again next time.

  1. Once again, thanks for the translated chapter!

Some more minor errors this time around, and again I’ll point out the ones that stood out to me.

“character-defining bold head Gantz” => bold should be ‘bald’ in this case I believe?

“Due to the bombshell appear of my character it’s evitable” => Double typo here : appear should be ‘appearance’ and ‘evitable’ should be ‘inevitable’.

  2. Thank you for the translation!!! i almost gave up hope on it after months of no translations.
you have truly brightened my day!
i noticed that the HandofVecna also started translating, but i have to say that i find your translation to be more adequate because HoF seems to rush the material and translate the gist of sentences shortly – though i am thankful to HoF as well.
please don’t let the existence of other translators stop or bother you, because many times when a translator sees someone else translating the same material, they stop – which very often causes the material to be left untranslated for a very long time (often for years).
so thank you for your attention and dedication!

  3. So Dina is either the godess herself (disguised) or an agents of the godess who is here to make sure that Ruphas point her blade at the demon race. She also brought our mc from his world to merge with Ruphas (or possess her body) for the same reason if it was Ruphas alone i believe that even with mankind on the brink of extinction she would do nothing as she already is “defeated”, she would probably do nothing only gathering her possesion (aries, libra and the other) and observing from a corner of the world. However if we add our Mc, then will he really do nothing considering that what he though was ‘just a game”, “a staged fight” in his world, ended up with such heavy consequences.

Albeit i’am not sure the godess planed for the merging/or absorption of memory(feelings) from the body, she probably wanted him to be in control just like in the game instead we have a third Rhupas Mafahl not the gamer, not the ruler, but a new one.

Also please correct “Saphuru” to “Saphur” like the original translator, those half-assed translated names just pissed me off, one of the reasons why i think the manga is bad is the translator choice to use Rahpusu Malhfusu as a name for the mc and that’s just disgusting.

But that’s just my opinion so…vote people i guess ?
Pleave vote to get rid of those…things i can’t see how anyone could think that it sound good T_T.

    1. Noted, it’s been changed.

[Small unnecessary information you probably don’t care about xD]
Ruphas is written as [ルファス] – Literally pronounced/written as Lu – Pha – Su
The alias [スファル] – is just flipped as Su – Pha – Lu

I checked the original translation and had originally decided to use Pha instead of ph because of this reason. I’ll write it as ph if there is any in the future.

    2. Thank you, as for the reason why i dislike names like these is because it fell like someone is writing the phonetic and not the names and it just irk me.

As for my guess being wrong, with the current information on hand that’s the most logical scenario i can think off. i hope the answer’s not something like “this guys is the mastermind, this guys whom you have never heard about at all during the story…why…cause i said so !” that would spoil a great story.

As for Dina i can only says that ever since her first appearance i found her weird and that feeling only got more and more pronounced as she got more familliar with the mc.
